We Believe

Why do we believe Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah of Israel?

1. G-d alone is the source of a satisfying and worthwhile life.
Psalm 16:11 "Thou dost show me the path of life; in thy presence there is fullness of joy, in thy righthand are pleasures for evermore."

2. There is a barrier between G-d and us.
Isaiah 59:1 "Behold, the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; 2 but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you so that he does not hear."

3. Our good deeds won’t remove the barrier.
Isaiah 64:6 "We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment. We all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away."

4. G-d has provided atonement as a way of removing the barrier, and atonement requires blood.
Leviticus 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood; and I have given it for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life."

5. Isaiah identifies the Messiah as the one who will be the ultimate sacrifice and thus end the Temple’s Sacrificial system.
Isaiah 53: "4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that made us whole, and with his stripes we are healed."

6. At least 48 specific prophesies further identify the Messiah all of which have been fulfilled in Yeshua of Nazereth. (Information available)

7. G-d has provided atonement via Yeshua to remove the barrier to Him.
John 1:12 "But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; even to those who believe in His Name."
