Our Story
Beth Messiah Synagogue is a messianic congregation of Jewish and non-Jewish people who worship in a Jewish context and believe that Yeshua (Jesus) is the promised Messiah. Come join us for our extensive and in-depth teachings and our praise & worship during Shabbat services.

Our first Erev Shabbat service was held on September 9, 1977. In 1979 we became a charter member of the Union of Messianic Jewish Congregations (UMJC) and became affiliated with the International Messianic Jewish Alliance (IMJA).

From the spring of 2000 until 2021, we owned and met at 7130 Granby St. in Norfolk. In December 2008, we completed a major interior renovation in the sanctuary. The building was formerly owned by Norfolk Christian Elementary School.

In June 2023 we began meeting at CrossRoads Church (1127 Surrey Crescent, Norfolk VA) and plan to continue doing so until we eventually purchase a new facility.

Throughout the years we've been dedicated to our calling to reach Jewish people with the Gospel and we are going to faithfully continue to do so!
