Beth Messiah is getting a new building!
During Shabbat services on 5/24/25, Rabbi Derek announced that G-d is blessing Beth Messiah with a new congregational home in Norfolk!

The Property
1051 E. Bayview Blvd, Norfolk, VA, 23503, is currently home to Bayview United Church of Christ. Beth Messiah is in the process of acquiring the property. Bayview UCC will continue to meet in the building on Sunday mornings.
What's Next?
Beth Messiah will sell the Ministry House and Office property at 131 Forsythe Street. We need to pack up the library and office materials to bring them all to the new building. We will also have one or several yard sales in order to clear out some of the furnishings in the house.

Once we have officially acquired the building, we will plan for moving our belongings to the property and for the refurbishment projects that we intend to complete before moving in.
