Chapel Improvements and Fellowship Hall Expansion

Work on the new building is coming along! The stage in the old chapel has been refurbished, and the walls and window frames have been painted (with a little more left to go). Something cool we discovered - when a part of the old stage was removed, we found Matthew 16:18 written across the front of the lumber (see pic). "And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it."

Still to come in the chapel: painting to be completed, the light fixture to be replaced, the stained glass removed, and new carpet will be installed. Then we can bring down the pews from the stage in the sanctuary, and the chapel will be ready to go! Thanks to all the volunteers who are making this all happen!

Meanwhile, in the fellowship hall, the walls to an unused storage area were removed to make more room for tables and chairs. We hope to host Shabbat dinners, onegs, Passover seders, and much more in that room and we need room for everyone!

In just a few days, the work on the roof will begin!
